Head Basketball

Head Basketball is an arcade sports game where you control big-headed characters in fast basketball matches. Like real basketball, you need to score more points than your opponent before the clock runs out. You can jump, shoot, block, and use special moves such as dash and pump. Matches are time-limited and full of action—every second counts.

The game has two main ways to play: 1 Player and 2 Players. In 1-player mode you can jump into random matches, train, or take part in the tournament and try to win the trophy. In 2-player mode you and a friend play on the same PC, either on the same team or against each other. There is also a Quick Match option for a random 1v1 against the CPU. All of this is available in the browser with no download required.

Success comes from scoring consistently and defending well. Here’s what to focus on.

Score points. Shoot the ball into the opponent’s hoop. Baskets outside the three-point arc are worth 3 points; inside the arc they’re 2 points. Free throws are 1 point. Move to find a good spot, aim at the hoop, then time your jump and release to shoot. Mix in quick moves and unpredictable shots to make it harder for the opponent to block you.

Defend. Use the jump button to block the other player’s shots and stop them from scoring. A well-timed jump can turn a block into a counterattack. Watch their movement and try to anticipate when they’ll shoot so you can jump at the right moment.

Use mega dunks. In 1-player mode press Z; in 2-player mode use V (Player 1) or K (Player 2). Mega dunks always score—there’s no chance of missing. Use them when you have a clear path to the hoop to swing the game in your favour.

Watch the timer. Matches are time-limited. If you’re ahead, focus on defence and running down the clock. If you’re behind, push on offence to close the gap before time runs out. If the score is tied when time expires, the game may go to overtime to decide the winner.

1 Player: Play on your own. You can enter the tournament and try to beat every opponent to win the trophy, play a random match, or use training to practise your shots and moves.

2 Players: You and a friend play on the same computer. You can be on the same team or face each other in a head-to-head match.

Quick Match: Jump straight into a random 1v1 game against the CPU. No setup—just pick this mode and play.
