Escape Road 3

Escape Road 3 is the third entry in AZ Games' police chase series, and it takes the original getaway formula much further than the two games before it. You are still a driver trying to stay ahead of an increasingly aggressive pursuit, but now you are not limited to roads. When a river blocks your path, swim across it. When the roads close in, jump into a plane or a glider and go over everything. The police can follow you into the air and onto the water too, so changing vehicles is a tool, not a guaranteed escape.

Before each run you pick a car, a character, and a support item. Each character carries its own stats, and pairing the right combination can change how long you last. Eight types of support items cover speed boosts, defensive buffs, and recovery tools. As the chase drags on, the difficulty ramps hard: drones drop bombs, planes fire from above, and tanks roll into intersections. Seven environments shift the terrain beneath you, from city blocks and suburban streets to desert roads and open ocean.

How to Play Escape Road 3

1
Choose car character and item in Escape Road 3

1. Choose your car, character, and item

Before the run starts, pick a car, a character, and a support item. Press Tab to switch between car and character tabs in the garage, then Space to confirm. Each character has different power stats, and combining one with the right car creates a stronger Magic Vehicle.

2. Drive and steer to escape the police

Controls
WASD or Arrow Keys — drive / steer
Space — enter / exit vehicle
F — use support item
Mobile: on-screen touch controls

The car accelerates automatically. Your job is steering, timing your vehicle switches, and saving the item for the right moment.

Survive and collect cash in Escape Road 3

3. Survive as long as possible and collect cash

Stay alive, collect cash scattered across the road, and look for mini-game triggers to unlock rare Mythic Cars. The pursuit escalates over time: drones, planes, and tanks join the chase. Use tight turns, narrow alleys, and vehicle switches to keep ahead. Each run is a score-chase with no finish line.

What is new in Escape Road 3 compared to earlier entries

The first two Escape Road games kept you on the road the whole time. Escape Road 3 removes that limit. You can now swim when you hit water, take to the air in a plane or glider, and navigate rivers and coastlines in a boat. The police adapt too: they send drones with bombs, aircraft, and armored military vehicles once the wanted level climbs high enough. Cops on foot now have health bars, meaning running them over once is no longer guaranteed to stop them.

The progression system is also deeper. Thirty-plus characters each carry distinct stats, and the Magic Vehicle system rewards trying different car and character combinations rather than sticking with one setup. Eight support items give you options that change based on the situation, whether you need a speed burst to break away or a recovery tool after taking damage. Seven environments mean the terrain itself varies between runs.

Tips for surviving longer in each run

The car accelerates on its own, so your attention goes entirely to steering and positioning. Narrow alleys and tight turns are more effective than straight-line speed because police vehicles crash into walls and obstacles when they cannot correct fast enough. Avoid going flat out in open areas with no cover on either side.

Save your support item for moments when you are genuinely surrounded rather than using it the second the run starts. Switching to a boat or plane can put distance between you and the nearest pursuers, which buys time even if the new vehicle handles differently. When cops are on foot after a crash, give them a wide berth because they survive multiple hits and can fire while standing.

Environments and vehicles in Escape Road 3

Escape Road 3 covers seven different zones: city streets, suburbs, desert roads, ocean coastlines, and more. Each zone changes the hazards, the traffic density, and what vehicle options appear near you. Desert stretches have fewer tight corners but longer clear sightlines, which makes the police easier to spot but harder to shake.

On land you drive cars as before. On water you pilot boats. In the air you control planes and gliders, which handle very differently from ground vehicles. Getting comfortable with each type before the situation forces a switch is the difference between a clean escape and a collision during a transition.
